To whom is this website dedicated?

This site is dedicated to you: professional and amateur musicians, professors and physiotherapists who may wish to specialize in the treatment of musicians.

What is the purpose of this website?

Its purpose is to serve as a guide for those of you who are seeking solutions for your physical problems linked to the practice of music.
You may often find yourself in a situation where the more you practice, the less precise your technique seems, and you feel an accumulation of tension.

Is it possible to consult through the Internet?

With the help of a Web camera you can be sure to receive a precise analysis, useful especially if you live far away from a therapist. The Internet can help you understand that solutions are available, especially if you seek help as early as possible. However, even this is not a real substitute for a live consultation.

The Musician, a high-level Athlete: What inspired you to write your book?

My book The musician, a high-level Athlete is conceived in much the same spirit as this Internet website. The use of a "before and after" format based on real musicians' problems and solutions is helpful in identifying other problems, and in deciding when to seek further help.

Why should I see a physical therapist for musicians?

He or she will help you attain the goal of playing in a pain-free position. Physical therapy can eliminate or at the least diminish muscular problems, which
interfere with the quality of musical expression.

What is the advantage of consulting a physical therapist for musicians?

Working on posture is done with the instrument. To aid those whose instruments do not lend themselves to transportation, I have a harp, a piano, a double bass, etc, in my office, and am familiar with these and many other instruments.

My in-house work with orchestras is in quick sessions focused on relaxation and the release of tension. Here, as well as at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, I collaborate with many well-known musicians and professors, and am thus familiar with their demands and goals.

Why did you decide to devote your professional life to helping musicians?

I enjoy helping you achieve your musical goals. It's very challenging because one must find solutions.
